HEH yay back home after facil camp. (: was quite fun actually...except for weird boarding sch quirks (?)

1. The toilet cubicle has NO toilet paper.

OMG cannot stand it! every time go into the toilet then realised "oops there's no toilet paper" OMGG ahh... seriously cannot stand it urgh. so annoying lah!

2. The toilet has NO proper bins.

URGH cannot stand it...toilet has no proper bins to throw stuff. had to throw all toilet paper used for blowing nose into the toilet bowl. the other alternative was the sanitary bin. -.-"

3. there's a BELL and ANNOUNCEMENT for lights out

omgg first night we were all preparing to sleep at about 11 15. Then when we were about to fall asleep...random really loud bell rang! at first thought can dao...then this weird ANNOUNCEMENT was made! about boarders to go back to their rooms... OMG. what the beep lah. doesn't encourage ppl to sleep earlier than lights out lor -.-"

4. Blanket has HOLES.

HAIZ blanket was pretty useless. First night, woke up cold anyway cos the blanket has HOLES. doesn't keep u warm at all -.-" haizzzzz...

Outside of all that, stay at boarding school was quite fun (: HEHE sat was mostly uninteresting stuff. But sun was fun (: went for movie! HEHE. then talked to dina, xinyu and muisuan until 2am (: hehe sort of miss long talks with them (:

But boarding sch is quite nice lah (: looks pretty...has nice ponds with fat fish...hehe. and has a view of flyer!! (: and there're lots of couples -.-"

monday was uneventful. went for boring talks about not ponning your sabbs and being punctual etc. then FOS, which we couldn't go for cos had to go back for subcom planning. SIGH. but we attempted to watch the field soccer team play (: hehe.

then rushed the t shirt designs for ISYF. they look quite nice actually (: except the physics shirt...which looks v random...REALLY HOPE the colours don't screw up! that'll be quite terrible SIGH.

THen muisuan presented plan to one of the big ppl in charge...went quite ok. except confirm was spelt as "comfirm" and transcriptors had been left as "RNA polymerases" *OOOPS*

hehe then today had SABB! (: was quite sleepy actually...but nice cos have a lot of nice food to eat! (: but its chao fattening. sighs. one tiny pastry has half a slab of butter inside! OMGG. but the durian strudel is VERY NICE(: (:

yay teacher's day was quite fun.

guitar was erm...no comment. think star wars was ok. 13 days in france was very messy. haha.

after ponned to go nanyang. although i don't really mind staying. nanyang celebrations are abt the same lah. met miss lye! and had some sort of 401 reunion (: quite fun to sit ard and talk (:

met chen lao shi too! and wrote a card in chinese(!!) for her! =D first time writing so much chinese in erm 7 months! =D

it was nice to go back to nanyang. i miss the school building and canteen food! (: hwachong sch building doesn't look nice lor. and the canteen food...*haiz* only eat frm 2-3 stalls hehe.

otherwise, i think they're both ard the same. hwachong has a nicer uniform (: nanyang we were closer to the teachers, and they gave us more say in matters.

after that went back to aitong. blur lowell thought i was at the nanyang bustop and walked to poolside -.- haha! in the end we were as early as jianwei hahaha. who looked patriotic as usual.

LISA HATES STUPID LAGGY CAMBRIDGE COMPUTER.

First it has to lag for 10 mins. THen it has to delete half my post. I hate laggy com. should have brought laptop HMPH.

Saturday was quite fun hehe. Had lectures in the morning. =( then did this funny DNA practical to make a DNA practical HEHEHE. so funny. so now i have this funny little pendant with erm a white speck inside. Its supposedly DNA, but erm i don't even know its mine. haha might be tuna DNA since ate it for lunch HEHEH so funny.

After that had National Day celebration! HEHE was dominated by the ajc and cjc ppl. since they were the ones organizing it. Quite funny. Howard and some HP guy played charades HEHE. so funny to watch howard act as the merlion HEHE.

Dinner wasn't too bad. was suppsoed ot have a bbq. but since it rained, they brought in bbq ed food instead. so we just ate bbq ed food but didn't do any bbq. was quite ok. I think i ate a lot *ohno* hehe ate sausage and chicken first, then went back for beef burger for seconds HEHE oops. ate too much.

but doesn't matter i think HEHE been doing a LOT of walking lately. haha. Just as the cjc ppl were doing their bhangra dance, we had to leave =( cos 9 30 alr, and we needed 1/2 walk to get back to new hall. =( how sad.

Sunday! went to london! (:

The bus ride was terribly long HAIZ. slept the entire way there. London wasn't very impressive at first. But the Big Ben and the houses of parliament are NICE!! =) VERY impressive! =) very nice HEHE (:

westminster abbey is ok. not too bad. but didn't go in =(

buckingham palace wasn't very erm impressive. we all thought we got lost and that wasn't actually buckingham palace hehehe. but apparently it WAS. -.-"

Walked through 3 parks in total! HEHE. st james, green park and hyde park HEHE =) All v nice! HEHE and VERY green HEHE. So we picnicked and had lunch at green park (:

we slacked around and walked around hyde park after that, =) full of roller blading ppl HEHE. and the weather was nice, but annoying. Every time we decided to sit down and enjoy the view, it started dristling. HMPH!

then when we started walking it got sunny. -.-" annoying weather.

but the parks are v nice =)

then we went shopping along oxford street! HEHE =) but bought mostly souvenirs and food. haven't shopped for myself yet =( i think all the souvenirs v nice! =) feel like keeping all for myself HEHE. but then what am i going to do with so many funny things HEHE.

got back to cambridge at 1am HAIZ. then had to walk back from the bus station to New Hall at 1 am -.-" cos no public transport. Was quite ok lah. outside of it being dark and cold. Haha.

Better than oxford street. where we encountered this weird group of probably drunk men who were towering over us and asking weird questions. think we looked too lost. hmph. we then walked off as fast as possible haha.

Monday we went to London again! hahaha. This time organized as part of the program. so we went to the science museum. It was quite interesting! except that time management was quite bad. they only allowed us 1/2 hour to look at the more intersting exhibits! HMPH.

And they left us there for lunch. where everything was so ex. HMPH. so only ate erm yoghurt bar -.-" kevin bought a 3 pound(~$9) sandwich...

Then finally had a filling dinner! =D yay. probably going london again this weekend. Although don't really feel like going again...see how bah haha. want to see tower bridge! just haven't seen that. and want to see london at night. =) think it looks nice! XD

After dinner we had this funny random lecture on Shakespeare's King Lear and how it is applicable to parent child relationships ^^ haha the guy seriously extended from this probably minor subplot in King Lear into this terribly CHIM interpretation of how it represents parental love and sometimes people work to gain the parental love so hard they don't realise when its freely given ^^

Honestly, i was quite amazed ppl can think so far from a subplot in King Lear. but i guess that's why i don't take Lit HEHEHE. the HP ppl sounded very amazed and felt it was a good lecture. I was just amused he was reading EVERYTHING from a script throughout haha.

so fast 1/2 of it is gone! =( and haven't thoroughly explored cambridge yet =( oh well...

hehehe have a few more souvenirs to buy then i'm done! =D

yay blogging from cambridge HEHE =) its about 9 45 at night here only hehe. and its national day in Singapore alr! and the beijing olympics opening ceremony apparently is over alr haha.

awww. while we were doing erm bacteria culture. nice.

been quite ok so far. spent MUCH less money than i anticipated. probably cos meals are all provided. and thus not much else to spend on, outside of lunch and snacks.

ok shall attempt to recall stuff.

Tuesday set off for airport a little late HEHE. and reached quite erm late HEHE. but just in time for group check in! =) so checked in about 15 mins time. then went off to sit around. and have breakfast with xinyu's parents, while my grandparents and aunt went off to explore T3 and mum took the train off to work. haha.

after that, entered the gate. And we took the skytrain from gate 10 to the other end! HEHE gate 16-20 haha. so fun =)

everyone else was a bit late. prob cos they didn't realise there was a skytrain and walked there HEHE.

the flight wasn't too bad! =) for the first time on a long haul flight i ATE all the food provided haha! hgue improvement. generally just eat the main course and dao all the rest cos the main course is so bad u don't want to eat anything else haha. but this time all the food was nice HEHE =) except for the cold appetizer.

watched 4 movies! =) yay new record. (: watched Narnia: prince caspian, then Made of Honour, then the Leap Years, and finally this random show called Paris, although i was going to london HAHAHA. Narnia was ok. not very impressive, but about the same standard as the previous narnia show. Made of Honour was funny. although i feel qutie sad for the poor groom whose bride abandoned him for her male best friend cum "maid of honour". so poor thing. but nvm...

Was expecting leap years to be sth different. But it ended up ALMOST the SAME!! ahh. the entire final 1/2 hr was almost exactly ALIKE. with the bride going down the aisle. then halfway thru the ceremony, some random thing occurs, and the bride abandons the groom for her "true love" who happened to be someone else. -.-"

ok so i spent 5 hrs watching 2 shows which were almost the same. nice. leap years is ok lah. but i feel sad for most of the male characters who mostly got rejected hahaha awwww.

then watched Paris, which didn't seem to have much of a plot to me. and had too many characters such that i didn't recognize them haha.

finally decided to get some sleep. and when i woke up, peeped out of window when plane was flying across turkey to get some nice pics =) annoying xinyu who was trying to sleep hehe.

then finally. started to mug tutorials. haiyo can't believe i started mugging. =( so disappointing. but finished gene exp tutorial haha. and nth better to do on the plane alr. hope there are new movies on the flight back. although i intend to sleep and mug for skill D. haha.

but improvement! haven't been mugging at all these few days HEHEHE =)

k Tuesday:

landed at heathrow airport london (: went thru soem funny ion spray to sterilise u haha...v funny. walk into some funny machine, then it'll spray air on u HEHEHE. so funny. someone was asking if it was optional and the guy said "no"

the queue was terribly long and slow. and no stamp =( so passport no stamp to show been to london =( so sad.

there was this ben and jerry's vending machine at the airport hehehe. and then took the bus to cambridge. fell asleep on the bus thanks to jet lag and extreme fatigue haha.

new hall was nice =) had a very filling dinner. haha then went to sleep. =)

Wednesday:

Took a morning walk ard the garden outside =) very nice! has sunflowers and many other pretty colourful flowers =) and tennis courts! HEHEHE. and a greenhouse too! HEHE

intro lecture for biotech. took up the morning. met tutorial group. which is with some cjc students =) they're quite ok. just VERY enthu. much more enthu than us. hahah.

then afternoon we had punting!! =D so fun! 6 ppl in one flat bottomed boat then use this really long pole to navigate haha. Quite fun, but very tiring! probably cos we didn't punt in the correct way hehe. but nvm the view was nice =) got pics of many colleges along the way =)

the st john's college is nice! v funny has plants over the walls HEHE. but v nice! =)

after punting we walked around the city centre! =) v nice too. saw king's college, which is VERY nice too! =) the university hall, the chemistry lab, where they deduced the structure of the atom (or sth, can't rmb HEHE) the computing lab where they discovered the structure of DNA HEHEH. and various others HEE.

and saw this whale fossil hanging on one of the floors of the natural history building! EHHE. so cool. =)

then we went into the cambridge university press shop and saw many chim textbooks and research books on almost every single topic haha. miss soh was VERY interested HEHE.

Walked around more, and walked past trinity college...where there was an apple tree grown from a branch of the apple tree whose apple dropped on newton's head and helped him think of gravity! HEHE. =)

quite cool.

ohhh and went to the market square, where i bought raspberries and strawberries! =) quite cheap. cheaper than singapore. =) and nice to eat! HEHE have blueberries and peaches today HEHE =)

and went to marks and spencer. the marks and spencer there is much nicer! and has many nice sweets and chocolates! =D so pretty and tempting! hehe.

took this really long walk back to New Hall from the city centre and walked around the back of the colleges. King's college is nice! there're cows at the grass patch at the back HEHE. so funny!

and the college gardens are nice too. =)

Thursday:

had a lecture on plant viruses in the morning and a DNA fingerprinting practical. lecture was ok. tutorial was uninspiring. and practical was HAIZ sleep inducing. we did micropipetting then, incubation,then load gel. -.-" and there were 4-5 of us to 2 6 samples. so most just do 1-2 samples. -.-" so much waiting time too! v sian haha.

but gel is nice! =) and reminds me that i haven't run the gel for my srp patient samples yet HAIZ.

After that we came back for photo taking! =) of the whole group at new hall college. =) just the rjc and hwachong ppl lor. haha. the whole course has mainly singaporean students! and one random school from india.

night had a random lecture on developmental economics. covered a lot of random topics. haha.

then used com! =) and slacked HEHE and ate strawberries and raspberries in muisuan and yingzhen's room (: HEHE.

Friday:

morning walk to girton! HEHE walked about 30 mins? haha. prob cos we were walking quite slowly haha. but it was good exercise HEHE (: and the weather was nice! very cool! =)

miss soh jogs every morning haha!

morning lecture on pharmaceutical chem. was quite ok. lecturer was very well informed and knowledgeable. tutorials were as usual.

practicals were even MORE sleep inducing. this time it was 5-6 people to 2 tubes. -.-" and did some bacteria culture. just add some salt, then add plasmid. then ice, heat, ice. then add nutrient broth. then add to agar plate and streak. -.-" terribly exciting.

afternoon went to another supermarket! =) Bought various food items, like more fruits, tuna and bread. and i bought sweets, chocolate eclairs and dark chocolate! =) chocolate here is cheaper! HEHE. and more variety =)

then slacked and use com. attended math lecture by mrs chua. finshed mathematical induction and method of difference. then went to slack and use com again! =)

HEHEHE. wonder what's going on in school.

and jiayou chanyi and qiyan for WR =) HEEHEE. as s***'s multi talented pupils (SMTP!) sure can do it de! HEHE. =D

and had a catching up session with yenbing. he's funny...first ask about "why jianwei not here?" then "how is jianwei?", "how is xinying?" and finally "jeremy's been asking for block test papers a lot recently" hahaha.

And saw yikun's twin in dunman! he looks chao like yikun! the hair! the face a bit lah! but one look can tell that was the yikun twin chanyi, mengyuan and dina was talking about HEHEHE. so funny! didn't say hi to him though. HEHE we're so antisocial HEHE.

the astar NSS(BS) scholars had to dance some random dances and put up this "fusion" thingy involving dancing and funny costumes and makeup. I guess to show that they are all rounded and don't just mug. HEHE.

quite ok lah. don't understand why everyone does a dance though hehe. imagine weihan in future becomes a NSS scholar and has to perform a dance (in front of the acting minister of manpower)! or dina! hehehe. ohhhh and they sang "if we hold on together" as an ending song HEHEHE. quite funny...

sighs weekend is ending =( tmr back to sch =(

oh well. went to cousin's wedding yesterday! was so nice! the gown was really pretty! =) but hard to walk in i realised haha. but she looked very pretty! =) the church wedding was sweet. and very touching hehehe. makes u want to get married too hahaha.

but i dunno its kinda sad that while the 2 of them are getting married, "in sickness and in health, for better for worse..." some of the relatives are separated already...quite sad.

but ah well.

hehehe the lunch reception was nice (: there was chocolate fondue. =) yay. v nice =) the bridesmaids dresses were PINK! haha. and they all spoke with accents. means they're all her uni friends from london.

everyone says they're a couple in love hehehe.

haha but i still find the guy v nerdy HEHE. but its the inside that matters i guess haha.

the dinner was nice =) the youths were seated together haha! cos they think a lot of youths together can inspire more communication and that we'll eat more (cos all the extra food was directed to our table) haha.

was seated beside a cousin in nanyang poly. omg his hair is LONG! looks chao emo. sth like paul twohill. and dressed in black too!

The dress code was formal. And despite the latest newspaper reports saying singaporeans are sloppily dressed, everyone (well about 99%) followed the dress code. All the males came in shirt, and blazers! (some with tie) and all the females in gowns and dresses. haha.

except cousin who came in a t shirt and bermudas. -.- looked very out of place. My sister was remarking about it almost immediately. It looked very funny. The long hair, emo look, T shirt, and bermudas.

Wore a dress for once in a LONG time. haha. shall post pics sometime later. when my sister finally passes them to me. haha. took pics all around fullerton haha.

fullerton hotel is nice! we saw a bit of the fireworks at the NDP preview! (: nxt time shd get married at fullerton too HEHE. although the food is not particularly good. and the ballroom is underground, so no view. If not might have been able to see a bit of NDP preview haha.

1. YAY its friday =) Weekend is coming! (although i'll prob have to spend the weekend mugging HAIZ. but ah well.

2. WEnt to the MANGO SALE! =) YAY. feels happier. the stuff is still too ex. shall go another time after blocks when its 50-70% off. But i got a new shirt! XD yay. happy. =)

3. Bought another new shirt. Not from mango. HEHE. k lisa obviously in need of retail therapy.

4. GEL GOT ONE BAND! =) YAY. mentor ran the gel for the pcr i did yesterday and it works! =) YAY. k lisa's pcr techniques aren't that bad then =) must have been the DNA polymerase lousy. k lah the other set of primers still don't work. but its expected i guess. (cos there was some weird adding of nucleotides on that one) YAY today trying out the full set. *hope they work* ahhh.

5. Ate ice cream and drank bubble tea! =) yay! bubble tea is nice =) ice cream is nice too. so sad. probably the last time i'll see jiajia in 6 wks. =( but nvm gave him a pcr tube i koped from the lab and stuffed farewell message inside HEHE =)

6. the full time srp attachment is ENDING! YAY. HAPPY. but there's a lab meeting today ohno. weekend is ending =( tmr there's srp =( oh no shd go enjoy my last few srp free hours. hehehe. but then busy mugging haiz. HEHE.

hmmm what did i spend my sat doing...morning slacked, watched bleach =) and ironed clothes haha. Then went off to peer tutoring. was a bit late hehe (cos the part time maid left late) but ping cheng was late too! HEE so nvm. and his two friends had no tutor, so had 3 under me. haha. was quite ok, they're nice i think =) And i really think jaslyn looks like clarissa! and they're both in band! hehe. when i first saw her i thought "clarissa?" haha.

but slightly different i guess, she has longer hair. the other girl was a cheryl too! hehe. she gets chem quite fast. ok they both get chem quite fast. =) so gave them quiz. since i only had 1 copy, they just did a group quiz+ open book. haha. took quite long too i think.

but ah well. shd give more quizzes for practice. haha. after blocks i shall go do up more quizzes hehe. =)

hmmm after that went to drink bubble tea =P yay i like bubble tea. I think i've been drinking one cup of bubble tea almost every day this wk. oh no.

every day after srp take train to bishan to get bubble tea then go home. haha. srp is probably too stressful and headache-inducing. (considering i had to do 20+ pg writeups and databases every single day this week URGH)

but nvm the primers have been ordered. like FINALLY. URGH. shd be feeling slightly happier. but i don't know. i was planning to go only half days this wk, so i doubt can accomplish much. Well, i told her for AGES (since June 2 in fact) that i NEED to get the wet work started in june hols. she just endlessly told me to do writeups which were URGENT to her hurhurhur. sian. i think i've alr done so many writeups and databases the appendices of my final report is going to be about 3 times the length of the report alr.

then went junction 8 after bubble tea. hehe. didn't have much money. so couldn't do much shopping =( but ah well. it was quite ok. i think i've bought enough clothes this hols. I still haven't spent my book vouchers hehe. nvm after blocks then. =)

Ohhh but i've bought a bit of Hong's bday present alr! (: HEHE. i think its pretty! and its suitable for the green club person HEHEHE =) will go shop for the rest of hong's bday present after blocks hehe. =)

And i bought myself another file hehe. I think its very cute! HEHE =)

Sun ponned church for the dunno-how-many-ieth time. since jan i think. haha i think my sis and i quite opposite. she goes every sunday and i find every excuse not to go. I don't know. i guess i was never really into church. she loves the youth ministry and her cell group. I was ok with the youth ministry, but i don't think i connected much with my cell group? was quite bored.

then went for piano =) teacher says i shd practice more. and i need to practice guitar more too. but i think i left my scores in the LT on one of the practices =( can't find them at home. =( nvm i still have malaguenas scores and soft copy of star wars HEHE.

afternoon went to grandmothers hse for family gathering. ate a lot. still feel full. Cousins all had such enjoyable holidays. except me. who was at the LAB everyday urgh. didn't go watch any movies =( think my life v sad. haiz. and very boring.

One cousin was complaining abt how her parents are all going to reward her brother with $1000++ cash IF he passes the OCS test and gets into the Navy, and how she got good grades for A levels and got a good job, but didn't get any cash rewards. Her parents rationale was her job already gives her such a good pay she doesn't need cash rewards while her brother's allowance is so much less.

But ah well its always like that. I don't think my parents ever gave me any rewards for my grades. but my sister definitely got rewards in those few times she got good grades (like entering crescent). hmph. ah well doesn't matter.

then came home to mug. HAIZ.sad. nvm i shall mug hard until 28th june! =) yay! then i have a long list of stuff to do which have NTH to do with mugging (:

haiz weekend is ending =(

Sat was fun =) went to take a look at eugene nature guiding at macritchie in the morning hehe. but it rained awww. so went off for breakfast =)

Then had peer tutoring. Was quite fun. had a mushroom!! bun, popiah and bubble tea!! for lunch! =) i miss bubble tea! =) then went off for peer tutoring, tutee was a bit late. but it was ok lah.

Guan hua was enthusiastically teaching SS hehe! i honestly think he's a much clearer and motivating teacher than mr han was at IH lah! if we got a teacher like that for IH, possibly i'd be more interested haha. and perhaps i'd have put in more effort.

then eugene spent like 1/2- 1 hr vetting the chem notes. obviously he picked out a LOT of errors. typical eugene haha. i thought there was only one obvious error the cathode anode mix up.

then cheryl came. =) gave her the quiz. and she took 1 1/2 hrs. haiz. must give more chem quizzes alr. haiz. and let her practice more hehe. =)

HEHE was quite fun! tutee and i were observing the J2 scandals hehe. two of them went off together for such a long time lah! HEHE. then another J2 girl charming lincoln hehe. then whispering together for a while HEHE.

HAHA think nxt wk they'll be updating shannen haha, if she's back. haha.

HEHE then ended about 4 30. went off with guan hua and eugene. And watch them da qing ma qiao hehe. =) hehe. so funny! and eugene gave his guan hua the heart shaped keychain hehe! and call each other didi hehe. i think they're amusing ppl hehe. =)

then went for dinner.

and on sun had piano. was quite ok. i think i'm finally starting to sort of like chopin haha.

then went off to mug chem with jer and randi haha! was nice to finally meet jer after dunno how long. since guitar concert i think. hehe he's sunburnt from obs! hehe awww. hehe mugged from 1-5 30. although we slacked quite a lot in between. hehe. then went off to get bubble tea! HEHE. oreo chocolate is nice =) but find it a bit too sweet now though hehe. red tea is still best! (:

Failed guitar auditions again! HAIZ. at least i missed out fewer parts this time =) HEHE. played almost half of D and F HEHE. (: yay improvement. Hopefully i'll pass the other round on monday haiz.

Weihan so zhai passed on first time. But then again, he practiced a lot. unlike me hehe.

tmr have to go srp. =( ah well at least this time there's sth to do. Must collect the journal articles on Fukutin and FKRP genes and diseases. cos the wet work will be mutation screening on them. Dunno how though hehe. nvm will bug someone else tmr.

And there'll be meta analysis on DMD. haizzz. still haven't tried out any programmes for meta analysis. sigh sigh.

Ah well, better than nth to do. i want to do lab work (: relatively fun atm hehe. better than stoning.

srp is sian. at least today was more productive. learnt how to cast the gel. and ran the gel. and then viewed the bands under UV light. although was in contact with carcinogenic chemicals like ethidium bromide haha.

But had bands! =) means i got results hehe. but its only a trial. no idea what my actual experiment is going to be about. haiz. sian. want to drop srp alr lah sighs.

after that went for guitar (: was quite fun! went for lunch with them =) chatted a lot. then went thru star wars with sheena. my guitar really terrible AHHHH! so many wrong notes. HAIZ.

Then they had auditions sighs. obviously i cmi. missed out D,E,F lor TOTALLY. played like 3 notes of D only haha! so only managed to play A,B,C and G,H and I haha!

sure won't pass haha. must go on pia ing haha.

ohh i realised i forgot to talk abt band concert! hehe. i think it was good! =) I love phantom! the first 3 songs were really good! the last song was nice =) shan hu hai was not bad too! HEHE. =)

could see yikun's sea urchin-ish hair HEHE. and spotted yingzhen at the back HEHE. =)

gave flowers to kunny, yingzhen, wushuang, cynthia and judy. =)

And i think green ties look really mismatched HEHE.

YAY CO concert was not bad =) though i have a little phobia of high pitched wind instruments now...(dunno what that instrument is called hehe) outside of that, it was not bad HEHE.

Realised its my first time seeing a CO concert HEHE. =) hehe same for a lot of other performing arts too haha. hwachong has increased my exposure to the arts hehe. they didn't play any familiar songs though.

And everything was in chinese! omg the programme booklet was full of chinese! so scary. was a bit too lazy to read. so just read the english bits and looked at the pics =) spotted eugene and jiaqun! :)

managed to spot eugene and jiaqun in the concert too! HEHE. agree with howard! the erhu playing looks quite cool! hehe. =) we couldn't spot eugene at first lor. blocked by the guy standing beside him hehe. aww. but later on managed to see HEHE. =)

eugene looks cute in a shirt and tie :) HEHE. a LITTLE more grown up hehe. and jiaqun looks so motherly in the white shirt and long skirt. i personally think the long skirt not nice, should just wear pants lor =)

then the co ppl took so long to come out! had to wait so long to give flowers. but hehe it was fun! hope they liked the gifts =) i think the curry puff is super cute lor! i really almost wanted to keep it HEE. so must take good care of the cute curry puff! hehe =) and jiaqun got 2 pink roses :D

k shd go sleep....tmr have to go lab run gel. then go guitar. and hopefully not auditions tmr. i am so going to fail =( *sobs*

movie today was fun =) Although indiana jones doesn't make sense at all. what aliens.... -.-""

Xinying and jer didn't come though =( xinying had cheering competition and jer had chem test on mon. awww. miss them.

jianwei, randi, yenbing, AB, and yu chao came though =) haven't seen yuchao in ages. he still looks the same. and wears the same stuff too HEHE. jeans and polo tee haha. randi and jianwei are still the same too. talking about serious stuff haha.

yenbing just as zhai as ever. he's astar scholar too hehe. and captain of the cross country team. So zhai. they all have some kind of exco post haha. except me ahaha. AB commenting on how many girls his class has, cos its an arts class. and telling randi how sad it is he has to see boys for another 2 yrs haha. i think its quite sad too haha.

and they all take physics! except AB who's in arts.

realised our class is really quite split up. AB's over at nyjc. same class as jiawei! hehehe. so coincidental. and same cca as muqin haha. so there're 3 of them at nyjc.

then at hwachong there're the 4 of us. me, jianwei, zisiong and lowell.

at rjc there's only yenbing and monica (and i highly doubt they talk to each other).

we're so split up lor...haha no more than 4 in each jc. and i think there're some of us in every jc =) i don't even know what happened to a LOT of them. how sad. but it doesn't really matter. haven't seen most of them in 4 yrs anyway. even if we meet now i doubt i'll have anything to say.

But i guess its interesting HEE. meeting ppl from many diff schs hehe. outside of just hc and rjc. but i dunno, think my social circle is still very limited to the jc crowd HEHE. albeit some not very good jcs haha.

AB was so evil about the yjc thing! actually i nv knew much about it.

but had fun catching up haha. jianwei just as serious as ever. And he's in the crystal growing thingy! haha! so un-jianwei-ish i think haha. =)

YAY tioman was fun HEHE. Had fun looking at various marine animals and plants, and snorkeling! =) although it wasn't that impressive since it was second time. But it was fun HEHE. And we bonded more as a class i guess HEHE. haha i think we stayed as a 7B clique so often (all the time) that we didn't really make any new friends. But ah well, at least we strengthened class spirit HEHE. Its not that easy to make new friends in 4 days anyway.

Ok. day to day recall of tioman.

Day 1: Super long bus ride there...Was super bored, but couldn't fall asleep. And we had to reach at 5 45 when the bus left at 6 30...and the bus was late. So didn't have much of breakfast. And didn't have lunch until 3+ when we reached paya beach resort. Terrible. As bad as some flight to europe except no in-flight entertainment (except xinyu's *cough* wonderful *cough* singing), no meals and a seat that can't lean back! irritating seat.

Had to sleep on the super hard windowsill the entire ride. neck ache lor...

When we reached we had LUNCH! =) then took more random photos hehe. though everyone looked tired.

After lunch had an orientation hike. Where they hinted that we'll need the knowledge for bio o and everyone started frantically copying. Lisa being a lazy person, refused to spoil her beach holiday by copying notes...so refused to copy =) but i didn't have any paper anyway (didn't think of bringing hehe) so couldn't copy (even if i wanted to) hehe yay.

After that we had dinner! =) and took more pre dinner group photos. HEHE. shall post the pics later.

And after dinner was the nightwalk! In the mangrove. Everyone wore shorts except howard who decided to wear trackpants! hehe. i think it was quite ok. Quite fun i think, saw lots of crabs, snakes, and a monitor lizard! HEHE. And we did lame stuff like take photos of our soaked shoes and feet in the mangrove water HEHE.

OHHH then we went to nightwalk at the beach! It was VERY NICE! the stars were nice! =) But they weren't as clear lah, cos tioman still has quite a lot of light pollution. but still it was VERY NICEE! =) HEHE

After that we showered, had some "leisure activities" and went to sleep =)

Day 2: breakfast was buffet! =) hehe so nice.

Initially we were supposed to have a forest hike. But since the tide chart they received was wrong, the intertidal walk (which was initially at 10-12pm at NIGHT!) got shifted to the morning...it was quite fun lah! HEHE. can see lots of crabs, sea stars, fish, sea anemone, clams, shrimps etc. HEHE. very fun =) And the water is very clean and clear! =) *i sound like an advertisement* unlike singapore water lor hehehe.

Then there was a lecture...Where i almost fell asleep. *oops* but it was kinda interesting lah. hehe. and this time i COPIED some stuff. And we had to do a nature journal.

Then we had lunch! then went for forest hike and freshwater ecology fieldtrip. The forest hike was ok. we just trekked around. I think i nv gain much from hikes. All the tress just look like trees to me...haha. and i'm looking at the floor most of the time. so all i see is dead leaves...haha. lisa is just not the trekking kind. i prefer intertidal walks =) HEHE

Then had the freshwater thingy. which was quite fun lah! it was supposed to be educational...but we ended up playing haha. we were supposed to collect specimens. But *sighs* the first specimen we collected, an overly energetic pond skater, died about 5 mins after we collected it. awww. Prob cos we traumatized it too much. or the ziploc bag didn't have enough air. awww. so damaging to the environment. =(

then we collected some shrimp. Which were ok until this group of people came along and gave us a crab...which we accidentally put into the bag with the shrimp. And i guess half the shrimp were eaten. awww.

They caught a lot of tiny crabs lor! woah...unlike us who spent super long trying to find just a few shrimp. haha.

ohhh along the way howard and xinyu decided to hero and swim in this pretty deep pool hehe. awww.

And after collecting the crab (which had started to traumatize the shrimps), weihan felt unbalanced and put his hand on yikun to balance. And yikun, being the usual yikun, thought weihan was trying to push him into the water! and started splashing weihan HEHE. And howard too accidentally. And so weihan and howard retaliated and splashed yikun! HEHEHE.

And all the 3 of them got totally wet. the rest of us slightly. The only guy not totally wet was eugene haha. who attempted to defend himself with the paper HEHEHE. so amusing hehe.

K then we had to go reflect on nature. So me, yingzhen and xinyu went to the waterfall! To reflect on nature. and the (really soaked) guys stayed on the other side HEHE. And howard went to emo alone. awww. it was fun. and we cleaned our shoes there. HEHE. k lah eugene and yikun started cleaning their shoes. And the rest of us then decided it was a good time to start cleaning them HEHE. Returning the sand to its original place HEHE.

And yangzi took some nice photos i think! =) i want to see! wonder when yangzi will upload them. =)

Then we went back, showered and went for dinner! hehe. then at night we stoned around, some ppl played pool, some of us (me, xinyu and yingzhen) stayed at the beach and moon tanned =) HEHE. quite nice lah! so romantic HEHE.

Day 3: Snorkeling!! =)

Snorkeling was fun...a bit weird to snorkel in PE attire, but ah well it was ok. It was nice! saw lots of fish. =) though not as exciting since its the second time i'm doing this. and the corals weren't very colourful this time. But it was still nice HEHE. Saw sea anemone, but no clownfish. think its cos didn't wear specs. =( shd get prescription goggles. can see so much more clearly HEHE.

i'm still terribly amused about the red fish with a string like tail floating around to surprise visitors HEHEHE! But its super gross....hahaha

and we were super lame! singing orientation songs all the way there...so funny! HEHE. and school song hehe. but so fun =)

and then we had to prepare for presentation and shop for souvenirs =) weihan;s poem won a prize! =)HEHE so cool! Lush HEHE. It was a nice poem i think =)

But omg. that Flush version howard and yikun came up...(howard mostly) AHAHA! omg so gross lah! leaves TOO MUCH to your imagination...howard shdn't attempt remixes hehe. poor weihan's poem.

then we played cards till abt 10+? when the guys decided to go watch this wonderfully funny show which was so immensely lame. (i personally think). then everyone fell asleep. so sad...couldn't spend the last night playing cards lor. awww. first time i didn't stay awake all night on a class outing thingy.

Day 4: back go singapore *awww*

So sad. had to take the wonderful ferry back (which was 1/2 hr late) then slept all the way to s'pore. Eugene's cam finally decided to work on the beach! haha. but better late then never? hee. He managed to take quite a large no of pics still haha.

my memory card ran out =( saddening had to delete photos.

this time the bus back was more comfy! HEHE. can lean back and sleep! and yikun was sleeping on eugene HEHE. so sweet and brotherly HEHE. 4 yr old little brother leaning on bigger brother HEE.

and sadly we reached s'pore =( although can finally sms again! HEHE =) yay. can stop dao ing sms es...although i didn't really dao many lah.

and obviously now depressingly have to go do srp. =( lab is boring. waste of my life. (as apparently i am stoning in front of the com) wasted my entire morning which could have been spent practicing star wars for guitar auditions nxt wk! (so dead lah)

Awwwww. Term's ending. So fast! 1/4 of JC life gone... =( so sad. But i think its been fun. And much busier sigh sigh. Some stuff i wish we had less of haha. Like PW (total waste of 3 hrs of curriculum time), lab lessons (hehe which are just too hot and LOOONG) and hmmm what else, half hr breaks! half hr breaks are terrible! Shd have full one hr breaks =)

But i think 2 terms of jc life was much busier than my entire nanyang life haha! Now, nv have enough time to study for tests. Pia assignments desperately most of the time. Stay back for cca MUCH more. HEHE. And basically have much mroe activities hehe. And more scandals! HEHE =) so fun.

YAY i finally got an A for GP! (: YAY! Happy! i think i rephrased much more this time. Cos there really WAS a need to rephrase! The previous one, the answers were IN the passage! Wat's the point of rephrasing? When u're changing the answer and the answer is just THAT (in the passage!) This time, the answers are in the passage, but u still need to infer and u can't copy...so there WAS a need to rephrase, or write in your own words. =) so i did HEHE.

YAY pleased with my score! Now my isp results don't look that bad. Must jiayou for blocks now haha.

I think my june hols are sad. THe only good thing i can look forward to is TIOMAN! YAY it sounds fun! Going nxt monday! =) Haven't packed yet though hehe. awwwww.

THe rest is SRP and guitar. HAIZ. Getting new song for guitar. Hope guitar one isn't too hard. HEHE. SRP is every day of the june hols! SIGHS. My blocks are going to be screwed. HAIZ. But ah well, will try my best to mug

HEHE today was a slack day! HEHE.

had council investiture for 2 hrs in the morning. Then had a 2 hr long break! =) Miss Mou was really nice and decided not to give us the leftover 1/2 hr chemistry lesson. (cos 1/2 hr can't accomplish much anyway)

So we went to high school to eat lunch! =) Then went back, still had 1 hr left, so most of them went to smtp room to mug. eeyer. or sleep. But so boring, and uninteresting way to spend a rare extended break! =) can mug at home anyway. (though obviously i haven't started hehe)

So went to canteen with qiyan! though i alr ate a lot. HAHA. saw a particulr scandalous couple buying ice cream and then noodles from the same stall! HEHE. so exciting =)

So spent another 1/2 hr with qiyan happily gossiping and catching up on scandals HEE =)so fun

then had pw and bio lecture. And then end of school!

Spent $20 of my kino vouchers on a book (which i wanted to buy for ages!!), notebook, and file! HEHE =) and bought a new skirt! quite cheap. Didn't get anything from taka though. Everything was way too ex! and high class...goodness, all the luxury goods. haha.

But nvm, i'm happy =) yay...finally went shopping =)

Bio lecture test results are out. I'm quite happy with my score =) Think can still do better. But i'm not complaining, honestly, its not bad =) better than i expected. And i got into the tentative bio olympiad training team! =) HEHE.

Tmr getting chem results. =( Hope i pass. I'll be really grateful for a C. I doubt i'll get A. A B would be fine. haiz. Never expected my chem to do so badly in jc haha! always thought it would be bio. haha

And had GP compre test yesterday. Was um quite dunno what to say. My AQ was horribly crappy. can't believe i crapped out four pages of stuff haha. I'm quite sure she'll say its too long. but i had 45 extra mins! What else to do. Once lisa got started on criticize mode....hehehe. It was too fun to stop. =)

Ohh and went tekong. Wasn't too bad. except for the physical torture, the accomodation for NS looks quite comfy. =)

tmr guitar exco elections...HEHE. wonder who i shd vote for. I don't really mind not running. Feel very slack now haha. Although there's econs tmr. sighs.

And going choir concert tmr! =) HEHE. How nice. hope it'll be interesting. And must give huiwei flowers! =) wonder where to buy?

haha i've really been missing a lot of family stuff, esp extended family stuff cos of various sch-related reasons. First guitar concert, all the rehearsals, peer tutoring, other concerts, fac outing etc. But i don't really mind. Fac outing clashed with cousins' bday. So i didn't go. But its ok hEHE. Think those bday gatherings are boring. half the relatives don't even remember my name! not to say my age. and can't differentiate me from my sis. -.- doesn't matter if i don't go. that's the problem with extended family gatherings i guess.

but so sad. i keep missing the good food at family dinners =( awww.

*WHINE* Lisa is depressed. I got late again! Now i have 2 demerits. WTH. I hate 74. Waited for 1/2 an hr! and it didn't come. Ok, it came twice, but both times it was too full to board! hmph. So had another latecoming demerit. HAIZ. SIGH.

AND i forgot to go claim my confiscated ez link card after sch. So had to pay cash. HAIZ. And now i don't have my ez link card the entire weekend. HMPH. Spoilt my weekend. hmph.

Exco elections briefing today. Wonder if i should attempt to run for section leader...I think its fun =) Can select pieces for the ensemble =) HEHE. So fun! I like the music aspect =) And direct people. (ok, this part i don't like that much). But i doubt i have the time! I'm already in SRP which i think the mentor wants me to commit more time, and the peer tutoring every saturday, which doesn't have that obligation, but i don't want to pangseh my tutees so many times. It's irresponsible i think.

Parents think i alr have too much stuff going on. Running for exco will be too busy. THey think i should focus on my work and srp. sighs. Wonder if i should run. hmmm. But i really think section leader is fun =) HEHE.

CSM was quite ok lah. Apollo won so much stuff =) Although i can't say i helped immensely. Considering how Lisa nv cheers much. But ah well. It's cool =) HEHE. First time sports day seemed so short =)

It was so fun teasing weihan =) about someone. The entire class knows! HEHE we're all happily inserting guitar and bgr into random lessons hehe =) Even jonathan knows now hehe. But hehe think shd tone it down a little. Poor weihan. (he honestly looked quite agonized) Awwwwww. But yeah, since weihan's such a nice guy i shall try to resist teasing him this fri =) So he can keep it personal HEHE.

But ah well, we'll see. Just try not to inspire me to tease =) Lisa finds it hard to restrain herself alr. But honestly. I really think the feeling looks mutual. But ah well, what do i know =) A lot of evidence points to it being mutual =) HEHE.

YAY can slack for 2 days =) Finally. Sunday was pia-ing GPP. Monday was revising Chem SPA. Although my value was weird! how can x=11? A bit too hydrated. HMPH. Ah well. Hopefully it only affects one part of the whole SPA assessment. =)

Today was quite fun =) Saw lots of scandals while sitting in the library for dunno how many hrs pia-ing SRP project plan and forms, and math tutorial. HEHE there was the obvious one, involving the pres of the student council and his gf. =) And there was the guitar one! HEHE. So fun too bad yongchuan was there. A tad extra HEHEHE.

I got allocated a diff proj from the one i interviewed for! so odd. But its around the same. Same methods and research stuff. Just a diff disease. Although both diseases are genetically linked. But ah well , doesn't matter. I'm ok with it too. After writing the proposal for it, realised it was quite interesting too... HEHE.

Lisa's finally done some shopping (: HEHE. Bought 2 new shirts and jeans =) yay. Feels happier. I want to go cut my hair. Sometime soon.

OMG concerts over! =) YAY! it wasn't too bad! The audi was almost filled! Much more than we anticipated =) THink we were kind of uncoordinated in our pieces HEHE. But nvm. =) It looked like prom! With all the girls in dresses and the guys in shirts HEHE. =)

So fun! But think we all looked pretty nice =) FINALLY didn't screw up my makeup. HEHE. Due to the fact that Lisa was too scared to put on too much of anything. So just put on a little foundation and VERY little blusher, and lipstick. No eyeshadow. I think i just screw up eyeshadow (perpetually).

Was more interested in hurrying up and finishing so i could go kope more food from eugene HEHE =).

I think the concert wasn't too bad! =) THough the lights in shan liang were messed up. HAIZ. But it was fun! so fun to see the audience's faces during Sway HEHE. =) Club song was nice! =) HEHE

and YAY! i got 6 flowers! From Xinyu, Huijuan, Shena, Huiwei, Tung Lin and Shao Yue! =) YAY! So sweet! HEHE.

HAIZ apparently the mentor still hasn't confirmed me for the proj. URGH. I really hope i get confirmed. If not, i won't have a proj anymore. SIghs. On second thought, i don't really mind. I realised that if i get it, the proj's going to take up a LOT of time. And i don't really feel like having my entire holidays and free days during term time taken up by research =( . Which would mean i have no more free days! =( Saddening prospect. So i don't really mind not doing SRP anymore. But then i wouldn't have any research proj anymore! While almost everyone in class is involved in one. Maybe shd have double applied for H3 Centad. *haiz*

But ah well, hehe, in council elections someone got asked if you could go back to the past, what would u change? I thought then, maybe i'd try harder at cca (like not slack so much at chess and scrabble) and try for SMP too. But ah well, on second thought, and with this horrible headache about SRP, i don't mind not going for SMP in sec 3 and avoiding this whole big headache. But i don't really regret joining mindsports (: I just sort of regret not working harder at it.

But ah well. I'm quite pleased with my life so far. Though there're hardly any achievements. HUR HUR But honestly, i don't really want to try so hard. (actually i'm not trying very hard, its just giving me a headache) *sigh* My mum doesn't mind if i drop out of srp. My dad thinks i shd just go all the way. This weekend was so crazy SIGHS. Saturday had guitar from 10 to 2, then went for peer tutoring. And sun had cip and then piano. SIGHS.

But ah well, gutiar was quite ok. We managed to finish the song i think! Hopefully... though there's still the last line we didn't cover when i left. But shd have covered by 5. Lowell was only guy! HAHA at various points in time. And he was like all alone at the back AWWWW. So went over to talk to him a couple of times HEHE. Lowell so loner haiyo. (Yisan seems to have got some weird idea about us though...)

Then we had lunch as an ensemble HAHA. And saw the councillors at their orientation camp having lunch too! HEHE.Think the council orientation camp is very tough. Saw the councillors on the scaffolds hanging up stuff.

And met tutees again for peer tutoring. THeir life quite sian. Entire week of tests. SO eugene and siyuan went early to prep their tutees. While i went at 2. But stayed with them until 4 30 lor! We were much quieter this time i think =) THough they're still very interested in EUGENE leh! HEE HEE until he gave the test. HEHE

And on sun we had CIP at woodlands (so far lah!). Met Dina, Jiawei, Eugene, Yikun and Xinyu! HEHE as usual, xinyu was early, and so was eugene. And I was EARLY! =) HEHE. Feels amazed at myself (:

Cip was ok. Tiring cos no place to sit. SIGHS. and it was hot! Drank dunno how much green tea! HEHE. And shared dunno how much saliva HAHA.

But ah well. Some of the kids quite cute! =) Though we were usually not with the kids. AW.

YAY! its finally the end of the week! =) Though weekend isn't very relaxing considering there's guitar practice tmr, followed by peer tutoring. And sunday has CIP followed by piano lesson *sighs* Weekend gone! =( Nvm, shall enjoy by slacking today.

Sighs. Need to beg a mentor to give me a proj for SRP. So troublesome =(. But the projs look quite interesting! =) HEHE hope i manage to successfully beg a mentor.

THis weekend is quite free of tutorials! (: YAY! Lisa pleased =) Tmr meeting tutees again! =) HEHE THey're nice. Will prob be going thru tys with them. HEHE. HAIZ econs lecture test was quite terrible. EEYER. Forgot a couple of stuff about price elasticity HEHE. Ah well, hopefully i'll pass. If not,it'll be some learning experience like EVERY IH test HUR HUR.

YAY! tmr is slack! Council elections hehe (: mengyuan suddenly pulled out. All cos SOMEONE told her in council, its very hard to do well in your studies. But ah well, its a personal choice. And personally i'd not enter council =) HEHE

Hmmm had guitar lesson today. Was better i guess. Started on time this time. And ended on time too! =) and was moderately useful i guess. haiz i shd practice more hehe. My note reading for guitar still quite terrible HAIZ.

And after received a call and sms from jiawei about leaving my bottle on class bench HEHE. Apparently it was mine and SOMEONE ELSE's bottle left on class bench. SO i'm sure jiawei wasn't that interested in mine HEHE. Stoned at class bench for quite a while and teased jiajia endlessly HEHE. =)

HEHE i feel sleepy. Shd start on PI soon. (got a few ideas! (: )But still feel too lazy. And need to fill in the absence form for guitar. HEHE. =) Everyone not going leh. i feel slack! Econs lecture test on Mon and i'm still slacking HAIZ. but i don't feel like mugging yet. Econs like the kind can study last minute and not feel guilty HEHE. Maybe when i see my mark i'll regret HEHE. But i feel slack!

YAY! Met tutees--Cheryl and Shannen! They're nice! =) I didn't realise they're N(A) students. So they're taking o lvls next yr. But they're very nice! And very feng. The two of them keep laughing! At first was like "um what're they laughing about?" Then after that we started talking about common stuff! And started laughing TOGETHER! In a feng way! HAHA! 3 of us all feng together HEHE. Think we made the most noise. HEHE. And we were the most slack group! Other groups self intro for um 5 mins and go teach stuff, we self intro and gossip for 1 hr! OOPS. HEHE =)

It was too funny! HEHE "Eugene chase!" then they all started going "Lincoln run!" everytime lincoln walked past HEHE! THey very funny! In the end ended up being feng with them! And lincoln going "you're the tutor, u're supposed to control them, not be feng with them" HEE HEE.

But they really very funny!! Never thought i'd end up gossiping with them! HEHE about lots of stuff! like "eugene chase!" HEHEHE... Oh no...think future tuition sessions are going to be half gossip sessions too HEHE...Lisa must try to hold back! HEHE i like my tutees. Think eugene would have had a hard time if we'd REALLY switched tutees HAHA.

Awww so sad...eugene says he didn't have a lot of chemistry with his tutee AWWW. We wanted to go conference room to see if there was any "chemistry" HEHE. But refrained from it anyway. =) HEHE.

YAY! got $30 Kinokuniya vouchers! Finally got money again! YAY! =) Likes nanyang. yay! At least i didn't get some weird plaque this time and no money. =) Lisa likes book vouchers.

Wonder when YDSP is going to send me my vouchers. THat one can use to buy my textbooks HEHE.

The food was not bad! HEHE I sort of ate lunch there. HAHA. All cos chatted on msn until um 1 30. Then realised i had to report at 2 HEE. But reported at 2 30 anyway. It was just as well. The teachers spent frm 2 - 2 30 scolding anyway. No point coming early. At first i was like "i miss nanyang" then enter and hear LOTS of scolding about responsibility and how u must report early and not disappear without giving notice on actual day...and i think i felt " i don't really miss nanyang THAT much". It seriously was quite irritating. As in we know, but do they really need to nag so much?

OMG i passed bio!! =) YAY! after i failed EVERY single class test. OMG. Lisa is amazed. I didn't expect it...Hardly finished carbs and lipids, read thru proteins at class bench before guitar lessons the mon before, and read thru enzymes at night (and didn't finish). OMG and i passed! YAY! =)

Finally my first science to pass! =)

Haiz, jiawei and eugene emo-ing and getting depressed over their scores. it's ok to fail once lah. There'll be other times. And please don't get suicidal. There's more to life than failing one test. Really. And its a really dumb thing to do. Seriously. So don't take it so hard. =)

Failing doesn't mean its the end of the world. And don't keep dwelling on stuff u failed. It's sort of really part of life to fail. Dwelling on it doesn't make things better. And u just make yourself feel worse. It is possible to do better lah. Failing once doesn't make u lousy or a total failure. =)

Lisa is tired and sleepy =( Dunno why. Haiz. Possibly walking under the hot sun to the bus stop and home HEE. Lisa is unfit HAIZ.Went to nanyang with muisuan to take a look at the prize presentation rehearsal. Unfortunately, we were so late that the prize presentation rehearsal was OVER! HEHE. But didn't waste time lah! Collected my o level cert. It looks so blank. But ah well, at least its an A. =) (Though not A1.)

And had a nice long chat with muisuan. First in a long time i think. Haiz. I miss 401. HEHE she has a scandal! HEEHEE. And heard xinrong has a scandal too! HEHE that's so exciting. HEHE. Maybe that's why xinrong's starting to tie up her hair in such a feminine way! HEHE.

Anyway, will be going to prize presentation on wednesday.Hope i get money! =) Or at least some book vouchers. HEHE. If not it'd be such a waste of time! EEYER. The last time went in sec 3 got nth but a CERT and a CIRCULAR DISC. (which i think i lost alr) HEHE. Such a waste of time! And had to go for the rehearsal too. eeyer. And no money. HMPH.

Sorry jeremy! I think i do complain too much. It's too easy to slip into complain mode about your grades when your entire class is so ZHAI in everything! *shall attempt to stop sigh-ing* And complaining too. And try to be positive, or at least neutral. =) ok? *yay and i've updated it!*

Had fac cip today! And went to east coast park to clean up the beach. At first we were all like "the beach so clean! need any cleaning up meh" Then when we actually started the cleanup, we really found a LOT of garbage!

Found weird stuff like clothes, condom-looking things (which yangzi said were not condoms cos they were too huge) and a STEERING WHEEL -.- Dina and i hypothesized it might have got there frm a car accident in which the car um skidded into the sea and sank there for ages, before the steering wheel got washed up on the beach HEE

But it was quite slack! We set off at 9 30. Played tooky tooky and game of tempo to pass the time. And we played game of tempo all the way to ecp frm hc HAHA! So wuliao. But it was fun!

And we suanned s*v* in front of him. "Xin You -4" HAHA! and "Yang Lady-5" . HEE HEE. And "Serene Chua Xin Yu! -8" HEHE That was so nicee! =) Then we ended off with "bio ppl-8" and "physics ppl-10" and "Apollo-10!" HEE HEE...

So amusing. Then we cleaned up for quite a long time. While xiaoyang SLACKED with some other class and flirted with vera. HUR HUR. Such a helpful person...

Then someone got suanned THREE times! Serves him right! For trying to boast about his TINY LIGHT bag of trash. OMG i was so amused when hong suanned him! Didn't know she could suan like that OMG! HEHE

Then xinyu suanned that someone too! HAHA! but that wasn't really a suan, was quite outright. HAHA typical xinyu.

But ah well, he really SLACKED! We saw him sitting at the bench, chatting away happily and he actually DARED to come back and say "my bag so heavy" . And "i was with the other class and when there was litter i RAN in front and GRABBED!" goodness.

But it was sth to laugh about and be amused.

And we saw SOMEONE rubbing his tummy! His pregnant ish tummy HEE HEE. And he actually told eugene "so eugene is the only PERSON here" HUR HUR. The rest of us are non-existent!

Then we had CT outing and went to The Cathay to watch Vantage Point! =) Was quite nice! The rewinds were quite cool! A very good way to build up suspense (if your audience is patient) Cos it reveals a little by little :) And the ending was not bad. But the car chases OMG. So much RUNNING! And the car chasing parts were so jerky! Was like jerk jerk jerk BANG! (collides with wall or sth) THen repeat another time! OMG was getting giddy!

And i wasn;t the only one. Dina, Xinyu and eugene too...HAHA!

But it wasn;t too bad. Then we went to Plaza Sing to slack around and talk more in the food court.HEHE. Was quite fun, gossiping about bampan HEHE.

Then went home ard 6 30. Quite early.

Got the GP compre test back. I passed. But not particularly well. Must work on rephrasing. And more rephrasing HUR HUR. HAIZ and must try to improve GP. Think i can do better. (hopefully i'm thinking correctly)

Bet Bio'll do badly HAIZ. But ah well. A subpass would be acceptable. THough i hardly even subpassed any bio class tests. SIGH. Wonder why i'm even in smtp HUR HUR

And there're lecture tests coming up HAIZ. Econs first. Must study thoroughly demand, supply and elasticity. It'll be the first proper essay test we've had for econs. Hopefully i'll pass.

First day of term 2. Was quite slack. Cos didn;t have to go for guitar lessons today :) And on first day of sch! S*v* alr missed Jonathan! hehe. Morning assembly "where's Jonathan?" then when jonathan finally appeared "Ooh its Jonathan! He's at the back of the line" and he BEAMED!!! (WOAH didn't realise until now the extent to which Jonathan was impt to S*v*) HEHE

Its so fast! Term 2 is starting! And i think before i realise it'll be gone too (just like term 1) HEHE but this week is quite relaxing :) like for us to get out of holiday mode from mar hols. But not for the J2s i guess. Poor J2s have block tests. =(

But lucky its slack for us. Thurs is Founder's Day!! So we're going to pick litter at east coast park from 8am-2pm. -.- Didnt realise there was so much litter to pick. Went out to meet someone i haven't met in ages! Met at 11 30+, lunched until 1. Then we went to watch 10 000BC (hur hur). Then after the movie, chatted until 6 plus. HEE HEE =) Was fun! Had a nice time gossiping and catching up =) Yay!

10 000bc wasn't particularly intellectual. It had sabre tooth cats, wooly mammoths and SHIPS! and PYRAMIDS! shd ask jianwei about the timeline some other time. Don't think its correct. And the ending was super weird! The old woman gave her last breath to save the young woman. So weird!!

I finally did some homework today! OMG. I feel hardworking. I actually finished the gaseous state lecture notes and the past yr bio lecture test thingy. YAY! and part of enzymes tutorial. I feel slightly accomplished =)

Must go read up on hiv drugs later. Haiz bio sharing. And need to start studying for chem olympiad soon. (probably the day before the test HEE HEE) people like me cant really be bothered. I don't think i'll get in anyway. Failed chem test how to enter chem olympiad?

Had YDSP congress today. I was almost late! haiz. Cos it started raining HEAVILY and i didn't feel like going out in court shoes in the rain. However, seeing it wasn't going to stop anytime soon, i walked out in slippers. Looked so unglam! haiz. Hair wasn't tied up either cos it wasn't dry yet. And i got all wet! cos the annoying unbrella had holes or sth -.-"

Arrived at City Hall MRT in slippers, slightly wet uniform and untidy hair. How terrible. I looked so unglam changing into court shoes at the MRT station! but what to do...couldn't go to the Stamford ballroom in slippers. haiz. And tied my hair while walking up the escalator haha.

YDSP congress was ok. Shook hands with Mr Teo Chee Hean. HEHE. then took photo with him too hur hur. Then a lot of presentations on all the programmes YDSP offers. Then after that tea reception! yay!

We were supposed to man the poster, or at least have one person at the poster at all times, but we dao-ed that "suggestion" hehe. We were all too enthu to eat. After all, our poster TITLE was printed wrongly. Wonder how "3 dimensional feature extraction from 2 dimensional photograph and satellite imagery" become "conic sections: applications in radar". They actually pasted the wrong title on our poster! *shakes head*

And the titles are so different! Our proj had nothing to do with conics and radar at ALL. -.-"

Person apologized to us many times after that. But what to do, they printed the poster alr anyway. hmph.

The food was nice! =) 3 tables of food! HEHEHE. Had one table of bread stuff, croissants, french toast, etc. =) nicee! then there was another table of hot food, this time asian hee. And another table of fruits and dessert! Tried everything HEHE =) I love the food! i think i ate too much hehe.

And we didn;t man poster at all! neither did mengyuan anyway. She said her poster was too ulu, so no one'd go there anyway. So she didn't need to man it! HAHA. Only Emily was super serious about manning her poster! Saw her explaining her proj to everyone! We were so impressed! =)

But then again, no point in manning a poster with a wrong title. Can't imagine telling Mr Teo Chee Hean "Sorry but our proj is not about radar, YDSP printed it wrongly, its about satellite imagery" Would be so embarrassing for YDSP anyway.

but ydsp congress was pretty interesting =)

Realised our class is full of pro ppl! So scary! So many Top in something among the nanyang ppl. Everyone so pro.

But ah well...its an interesting class =)

It's tue! And i've finished crystal poster! yay! =) Feels pleased. I think the colour scheme's quite ugly though. Later going to NUS to look at electron microscope. Maybe can meet mentor there. HEHE (:

Went to sizzler for lunch yesterday! It's not bad, just too much emphasis on salad, and i don't really like raw vegetables.HEHE. After that went around to look for a new bag. But i still can't find one big enough. Nvm shall carry on looking HEHE.

Then had guitar. Haiz. Learnt a little about staccato and slurs. Started late and ended late. Haiz.

Then pia-ed poster all night. (ok in between a lot of chatting) But at least its done! (: YAY! Shall do a little more editing tmr morning before going for ydsp congress. SIGH my life sounds boring. =)

But at least the holidays are relaxing (: Can catch up on lost sleep! HEHE. And recover totally from my flu. URGH can't believe it dragged on so long.

Going to collect crystal later. HOPE its bigger! Last time we forgot all about refraction and how it magnifies things in water and thought it had grown very big. Then when the lab tech helped us take it out, it was so SMALL! HAIZ. So let it have the weekened to grow. Hope its bigger! HMPH better grow irritating green crystal. Maybe i'll go post pics of crystals here HEHE. I think the seed crystals look nicee! (:

Threading that stupid tiny crystal. Which didn;t grow well anyway. Dunno why had small crystals growing up the string. So terrible. So had to regrow.

Yay decided to restart my blog HUR HUR. Dunno why though. Must be too bored or sth.

Wrote all about huang cheng in class blog alr. HAHA. Class blog is nice! Though thus far v few ppl posting.

Shan't be emo in this blog like weihan and eugene. Maybe shd post jts pics. But i alr posted them on egroups. No point. Troublesome anyway. HEHE

Its raining. But i don;t really mind its quite nice. Cooler =)

I'm such a boring person nth to blog about outside of the weather. HAHA

But JC life's been fun! So fast and 1 term's over! as someone put it 1/8 of my jc life gone. But its been memorable. HEHE. Orientation was fun! <3 OG 40!! =)They're such a bonded og! =)

Class is nice too! nice ppl! =) HEHE lisa's obviously not emo. But i think we're getting a little clique-ish (esp obvious during tutorials). There's the obvious 401 clique, the gep clique (although they might not MEAN to sit together but they DO!) etc. haiz but i think we still do mix around! =) those times sitting at class bench pia-ing pracs or assignment and just talking were really fun =)

My bday was fun! =) (starting to notice my vocab becoming v limited) THanks so much ppl! =) Got dark chocolate from qiyan and hong! =) i can enjoy dark chocolate for 2 weeks! HEHE. Eugene gave a cute yellow dog (?) HEHE. and a card! =) lim yu gave cute stuff too! Xinyu gave nice stuff! =) yay!

And jiawei and dina gave a pair gift! (: cute pencilbox + sweets. Which i ate alr (: And i think i won't use the cute pencilbox. Its too CUTE! can't bear to see any dust on it HEHE =) (same thing happens to all cute keychains i get too hehe)

6C ppl treated me to DINNER! (: so sweet! HEHE. They're so nice! Spent the entire evening at pizza hut (same day as weihan! HAHA) chatting and playing orientation games HEHE (:

Thanks so much jer for organizing! =) YAY! so nice seeing all of them again. (ok, i alr see 3 of them at hc a few times a wk. ) But its the first time in AGES this year i've seen xinying! she looks so CHIO in her sajc uniform! (: I like the sajc uniform! its nice! i like the tie! Although on further conversation realised its actually quite troublesome. She dipped it in mayo a few times HEHE.

Haven;t seen jer in a while either. He seems to like jc life too. Though he was complaining about the lack of girls in his class HUR HUR (5 only! haha!)

Spent quite a while discussing our different lives in jc =) i still like hc though, think its quite fun! (: xinying was trying to teach us to sing sajc songs haha!!

Then we started playing orientation games!haha! jianwei and jer had such a deprived orientation...cant play game of tempo haha! jer understandable since he holidayed for the entire jan and half of feb. But jianwei ah...haiyo *shakes head* Then we played bang bang chucky chucky haha! quite fun too! Felt a little like orientation 3 (to quote jianwei haha! )
